This calendar includes dates and locations for CNAP meetings, the annual Legislative Day, and APRN Days at the Capitol that are held monthly during each Regular Texas Legislative Session.
CNAP Legislative Day is a large annual event that allows registration of up to 420 APRNs and APRN students. The day begins with a seminar and lunch. Then ends with legislative visits at the Texas Capitol. This event requires registration.
APRN Days at the Capitol are small and informal events that allow up to 50 APRNs or APRN students to come to the Capitol and meet with legislators and staff. While you must register for this event, there is no registration fee.
While CNAP meetings are open to all APRNs or APRN students, space is very limited. The meetings are held in Austin from 10:00 to 3:30 p.m. CNAP meetings during Regular Legislative Sessions are replaced by APRN Days at the Capitol.
While these are the only scheduled events, CNAP encourages APRNs and students to visit Austin on their own schedule too. Email Lynda and she can help you arrange an experience that meets your educational and public advocacy goals.
Contact Lynda Woolbert at Lynda@cnaptexas.org if you wish to attend and she will send further information.
